Author's note: This story is of the storyline in Adventures in East Heran, occuring just before the closing of the portal. The main character of this story is a Magi Incart known as Sei Rieth Del-haurioew(pronounced: Say Re-eth Dell-harr-e-oo). Also, keep in mind that Magi Incart do not have genders and is considered an all-male species. This is how it begins...

Chapter 1

I wandered the plane of mortals aimlessly until the sun hid from my sight. Then I turned back and floated towards my own home. When I reached the ruin that our Portal hid in, I had to take in the wonderful sight. There was ash and rubble on the ground beneath me, crashed buildings every turn. The entire area was as tan as sand. Of course, a good deal of it is sand, but that is aside the point. The most awesome thing about this spectacle was the thousands of swirling red and blue and yellow forms of the other Magi Incart, simply swarming to the Portal, simply swarming to our home.

I reached the giant monastery, the only thing intact in the entire Ruin. The large doors of the monastery were opened wide, the whole swarm flooding inside. When I got there, the sight overwhelmed me as usual. In the middle of the huge hall was a thick mist of blue surrounding a massive purple door, sitting there, wide open, able to see into the vast purple empty with pink ground, known as the Space. Of course, if you tried to look in through the back of the Portal, then all you would see is a red wall. But I floated forth into the Space.

I emerged in Second Space, the exact middle of the area, then I flew on the Mage Winds(wind created by magical force) towards Third Space, where I lived. I got there quickly, seeing much less of the crowd wandering about. There were no buildings or roads or vehicles in the Space, no food and water since Incarts do not eat or drink, but there was plenty of one thing; Incarts. You could just walk right up to a complete stranger and ask to play Freeblaze(a Tennis-like game with a flaming ball of ice[I don't know how]). Every stranger in the Space is your best friend. And thus it was made obvious as a young Incart(you could tell by the lively blue color) floated over. "Hey, what's your name?" "I am Sei Rieth Del-haurieow." "Mos Marian Del-darrow. Nice to meet you. Would you like to play Freeblaze?" "Sure, Mos Marian." I used my magic to create a floating Tennis court, in which we flew on top of. Mos Marian created the flaming pitch. "Ready? Match start!"

He hurled the flaming orb of ice directly at me. Instead of instinctively dodging, I blew a strong Mage Wind at it. It stopped in mid-space(there is no air here) and blasted abruptly to the right of Mos Marian. Marian teleported to it and struck out with his own Mage Wind. It flew right past me so fast I couldn't even register what happened. Suddenly, it flew past me again, but in the other direction. Mos Marian caught it and fled for his life. What did I do? I fully understood when I turned around and saw Dering Dural Del-gerasu.

Dering Dural is infamous among the Magi Incart, well known for making Incarts turn to dust just for the fun of it. Of course, since we can revive ourselves, he is nothing but a major annoyance. If you said that to him, however, he would turn you to dust and pour you off the edge of the space, where anti-magic would turn you into nothing. And thus he approached me, and turned me into dust. I regained my shape. "What do you want, Dural?" "I want you to worship me." "Ha! Never. Why would I do that?" "Because you'll die if you don't. Now, on the ground. Beg for mercy." "No." He turned me into dust. "It seems you already are." I turned back, only to turn back into dust. "What's the matter? Lose your spine?" Idiot, I thought. We don't have spines!

Dural got bored and decided to just lock my dust in a magical cage and leave. As soon as he did, I turned back and teleported out. Mos Marian returned. "What did Dural say?" "Dural wanted me to beg." "Did you?" "No." "Oohh, Dural is so going to kill you." "I doubt it. Dural will do something though. I don't know what."

And so we were left pondering as Dural left for First Space.

Chapter 2

I escaped through the Portal the next day (in a mortal's measure of time) to explore the capital known as Castle Therinus. Our race has known Baulder Therinus for a very long time, and he is ancient even to our measure. He is a natural leader among mortals and that is why we... Nevermind, that is an old secret. So today I walk his Castle in a more... "human" disguise. Of course, I am never one to look ordinary. I took the form of a tall, dark-skinned man with golden tattoos and silver hair. I wear a tunic of fancy blue-and-silver design and leggings that have golden and silver wisps printed on them. My gloves are cut to the fingers and one glove has a moon, the other a sun. My hair style is an "Afro", as the humans call it. I hold no weapons, but I do ride upon an elephant, imported from South Kerada (the other continent). My elephant has a golden hide, but has silver linings on it's ears and trunk. It wears a blue harness with red cloth on it's back and head. I ride my way toward the Throne tower (no easy feat, with the street filled with so many onlookers), to meet King Therinus for the third time in my long life.

I reach the tower. My elephant blows it's trunk. "King Therinus! Tis I!" The king went to his window. Seeing the attention-demanding disguise, he laughed. "Ah, who else would it be? I have not seen you for literal ages, Sei Rieth!" "Nor you, Sir Therinus!" "Ah, but what brings you here? Come into my chambers, Rieth!" I stood up on my elephant, walked to his window (with the assistance of my elephant's trunk) and climbed in.

His chamber was beautifully decorated, yet littered with scrolls, parchments, legal documents, and alchemic beakers filled with unknown potions. Blue, red, and gold were the main colors that decorated Baulder's room. I am filled with envy every time I look upon his walls, especially the one on the east, which has a giant mural depicting ten Magi Incarts (look, there's me!) surrounding King Baulder Therinus. They are performing a ritual. King Therinus looks upon this fondly, and I instantly swell with pride.

"I have come but to visit you, for I have none better to do. How does your empire keep?" "It is excellent, Rieth. I have never ruled more justly. And those Dark Arts scholars stopped attacking, and I have held my own against Tretar's constant wars. The most damage done to me was a shadowbolt to the foot." "And that you may have hardly noticed!" "Indeed, Rieth. How does Kar Dairin Del-relmarel hold?" "He is well, though he and Gen Telra Del-keropis miss you so." "Maybe you can invite them this season?" "I would, but they've gone to Kerada for a time." I hear a large explosion in the distant north. "Tretar makes no attempts at subtlety, does he?" "Thankfully not. Guards! To Arms! Tretar at the North Wall!" While the King gathered his battle armor, I climbed out the window to the top of my elephant, waved Baulder goodbye, and rode toward the North Wall.

I stepped through the Northern gates (which were blasted open by the explosion) with my elephant, quickly stamping over demonic lines. Friendly archers restlessly fired arrows to the foe, blue and green and red bolts of light rushed down from the wall to meet their opponents. Lightning struck the demonic host with much intensity. And I, in my splendor, drop a Runic Clash orb upon the midst of the enemy army. The orb hit the ground, brought large waves of earth crashing down on the army, heavy rain appearing from the cloudless sky, random fires sprouting on demons, and pounding wind tossing demons back into their pits. I created a very long lance, and put it to brutal use. The largest of demons shied away from me. I do not consider myself powerful, for all Magi Incart can do as I can, but I still commanded the respect given to my species. Who knew that the most powerful race alive was the most friendly and social known to exist?

The enemy retreated in less than an hour, with no casualties for the defending castle.
