Nor mine.
Well, at the very least I can express it in plot plans. After the mother returns there'll be a party of some kind. It would be the idea to set the house at ease and keep up appearances, because the other estates will hear about the Lady Deramore's less than inconspicuous tale of return. Preparations for such an affair should be fuel for the fire enough until the real shebang comes around. Plenty of room for shenanigans great and small. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

To be a prick, because Duskgem hasn't gotten that wonderful piece of shouta bait that is Bernard, I'm taking him.
I'm having some trouble characterizing the lad; shall I make him your standard rough and tumble type, or shall I aim for the bookish sort? I'm leaning towards the latter. Also, Graceless, mind if we make our siblings rather close? Because they're significantly younger than Alan and Greyling, as well as missing much of their parent's attention, I imagine that Bernard and Millicent would spend much time together. Hmm, perhaps I'll take Alan as well...? -------------------- ![]() When it comes to the denigration and enslavement of a minority race, no species can match the tenacity of man. |

If I see your profile before Duskgem returns, Bernard is all yours. Bookish sounds lovely, to be certain. Someone in the family has to make sure that library doesn't go all dusty, eh?
I'd wait a bit for Alan, but I suppose if you whip up a profile there's no reason to stop you. If you do that and no one else shows up, I'll take Leonora and call it a day. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Name:Bernard Deramore
Age: 14 Birthday/Sign: July 20, Cancer Height: 5'2 Eyes: Grey, with spikes of blue emerging from the iris, forming a star. Hair: Bernard hardly minds his hair, a blond bowl cut that's in need of some tidying and is quickly growing into a bob Appearance: Bernard has the stringy body of a child turning into an adult; a pallid, weak body that hardly sees use and doesn't seem to hold onto fat. To that end, Bernard prefers conservative, lounging clothing of earthy colors, such as green or brown. A pair of knickerbockers (Much to his dismay, he hasn't been presented his first set of trousers), a white dress shirt and strangely enough a frock are his preferred lounging clothes. A pair of rimless, squared reading glasses are his constant companions. Persona and Past: Whereas the older Alan and Greyling were forced to take the place of Lord and Lady of the estate as their parents went traveling, Bernard was free to pursue his own interests. To that end he spent much of his time in the library, making use of its vast repository of knowledge for entertainment. He often kept to himself, usually paying no attention to the house servants, with the majority of his human interaction taking place with his siblings, in particular the youngest Delamore child, Millicent. He would often read to the young girl and act as her companion to whatever ends. He hates going outside and has great disdain of any heart pumping physical activity, such as rugby or cricket, finding them boring as well as painful. Despite that, he enjoys reading outside or amidst activity, as he finds the energy from it stimulating. Such an upbringing has left the boy coldly logical, socially awkward and has great difficulty trying to manage and understand his own feelings, although his ability to analyze others is exceptional. Quirks/Pet peeves: The young Bernard is more often than not reading, whether he be walking, eating or talking. Such is his ability at simultaneously reading and paying attention to his surroundings that he hardly puts down his tome, save for instances of intense annoyance or interest. He also has a rather annoying habit of pointing out the flaws of things, and thus can be called at best morbidly depressing. Oh Bernard, you bookworm you. -------------------- ![]() When it comes to the denigration and enslavement of a minority race, no species can match the tenacity of man. |

Sorry for the double post, just putting up the bio.
Name: Millicent Deramore Age: Eight Birthday/sign: February 16th/ (What sign is that again?) Height: 4' 5 Eyes: Millicent has light blue eyes with specks of green in them. Hair: She has honey colored hair that falls down to her mid-back in loose curls. Millicent's hair is usually done up with a red ribbon. Appearance: Millicent is thin and has a slightly boy-ish appearance, understandable for a young girl. She is usually seen running around in her beige skirt that goes down to her ankles, and a pink top. Persona/Past: Millicent doesn't know her parents, as they never have made time to see her. Millicent doesn't dwell on it though, because she looks to Greyling as a motherly figure and Alan as a fatherly figure. She is the baby of the household, with servants fussing over her all of the time. Millicent loves everybody, but has especially close ties with her siblings, and even more so with Bernard. She loves picking flowers and giving them to Bernard, because Millicent thinks it will brighten up his reading space. Quirks/Pet peeves: Millicent is always asking everybody questions, wanting to know more. She also wants to go she the cities, she finds them exciting. Millicent enjoys exploring, picking flowers, and having Bernard read to her. (I didn't do very well with appearance, it's not my best section either.) -------------------- All the world is a stage

You're all set to post, Grace. I checked the sign- Aquarius- same as Greyling.
Have at it! I suppose for the sake of my impatience and just because we both want to! Sayomi, you can whip up a profile for Alan and then I will whip up one for Leonora to better cater to his affections, yeah? What do you have in mind?" -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Well, I've got three characterizations for Alan:
Numero Uno: A young man who wholeheartedly takes on the running of the estate of Deramore, one day he hopes to make his house even greater by taking advantage of new technologies and radical thinking. A man who great dreams and aspirations, he cannot wait for the day he becomes 'head' of the Deramore estate. Numero Dos: A young man who mostly hates his position as head of the Deramore estate, he is able to act competently because his pride and honor in his family prevent him from acting as any less, but in truth he seeks to make his own fortune, preferably in the military. He is a man of action, not a man of talk. Numero Tres: A young man who takes great pride in his lineage and estate, he has a powerful desire to see his family name flourish and grow, he cannot wait for the day when he takes his place as 'head' of the Deramore estate. Simultaneously, he wishes to join the military as an officer, to earn glories upon the battlefield and become a man recognized not for his greed, but for his valor. Also, shall we make it a plot point to give young Bernard his first set of trousers? -------------------- ![]() When it comes to the denigration and enslavement of a minority race, no species can match the tenacity of man. |

Numero Dos, pienso es mi favorita. It would explain why he throws the party upon their mothers return to dispell the anxiety. I can work with that for Leonora, too. A military brat, living on the estate because her parents are retired, but not wealthy enough to own land of their own. Sha!
And trousers! Yes! I had noticed that potential point myself! Can't have him wondering around in knickerbockers forever, can we? Certainly not! -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Pienso que numero dos es mi favorita tambien!
Actually, just a quick glance at Number Two makes me realize that such an incarnation of Alan would have an interesting relationship with Bertholdus, whose earlier life was very similar, in that he left his family to make his own fortune, though at the present, he's past that point and is living off that fortune. WHOSE STILL UP FOR THIS BABY? I'M ALL IN.
Profile for Leonora to follow. Sayomi! Do you picture them engaged already? I kinda picture them at a bit of an awkward phase where they're together long enough to be at that stage where the etiquette against public displays of affection is too inbred into them to get past easily. Your thoughts? I thought not engaged because a proposal would be something good to work up to in the roleplay. ROUGH DRAFT Name: Leonora Renwick Age: 24 Birthday/Sign: May 6th/ Taurus the Bull Height: 5'6" Eyes: A deep brown, dark but brilliantly speckled of various shades in good light. Hair: Black-brown and relatively straight, which she keeps carefully up in a thick ornate braid. Next to no one has seen her without her hair up. Appearance: A tiny little thing in her youth, Leonora grew up to cut a slender figure. Her upbringing left her almost gaunt after her childhood but her adolescence gave her more Persona and Past: She was born an only child to a lower class family that rose in status as her military father rose in rank. After a long and healthy career as Corporal, Sir Renwick retired to tend a small piece of land on the Deramore estate. Her birthright has given Leonora a very good understanding of class differences and an adherence to etiquette and lady-like behavior, always attempting to compensate. She is always polite but has a wry sense of humour she inherited from her parents that she'll reveal to few she is comfortable with. The Renwick's have resided on the estate for close to ten years, though it wasn't until over a year ago that Alan and Leonora began courting each other. They grew close at first simply because they were a constant in each others lives. While most other possible suitors they saw when guests were at the estate, coming and going, Leonora and Alan spoke at every Deramore gathering. After years of this passing through each others vision they began talking as more than acquaintances. Things have changed since the beginning of their courtship. Alan's promotion to de-facto Lord of the Manor has kept him from visiting her and she makes a point to spend as much time at the main house with him as possible. The two are well aware of their love for each other but lack the perspective and comparison to truly appreciate it. Quirks/Pet peeves: Absolutely nothing will keep her from her evening strolls. When she lets go, Leonora is quite giggly and easily flustered. She is in charge of the bird menagerie on the estate and spends much of her time there. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Name: Alan Delamore
Age: 26 Birthday/Sign: Scorpio November 17th Height: 6'1 Eyes: Grey, with spikes of blue emerging from the iris, forming a star. Hair: Alan's hair is a short cut blond, hugging close to his head, long sideburns travelling down his cheeks as would be fashionable for men of this era. Weight: 183 Appearance: Alan is the lean, cut sort of man in the hayday of his youth, at the peak of his physical prowess. His body is hard and angular, covered only in efficient muscle, his high cheekbones and sharp facial expression marks him as a member of the social elite. He normally wears a pair of black or brown trousers, a set of black riding boots constantly upon his feet, ready to go out. A white shirt of linen with a collar often dresses his breast, a white cravat protecting his neck. Often he wears a gray greatcoat and a black top hat as well, brown leather gloves wrapping his hands. More out of a desire to appear professional than anything else, a rapier is constantly hanging at his side. Persona and Past: As the eldest Delamore by at least five years as well as male, Alan has carried the burden of leadership since his birth. Thus, he was constantly at his father's side, observing him whilst hunting, performing work, negotiating, socializing; whatever the head of the household was to do he was there observing and listening, much to his dismay. Since he could speak Alan was treated as an adult, forced to see the world as it was; an ugly, cruel, cutthroat thing. He was even forced to watch as his siblings were born one by one, watching the process of birth in all its horror, something that scars him to this day. To that end he has a great deal of resentment towards his family, feeling as though he were forced into this path, rather than being educated and then given the choice. To that end he knows the only honorable escape would be a life in the military-a career he must capitalize quickly if he is to make his fortune, as his twenties are starting to fade into the twilight and by the time he turns thirty he will be completely and totally cemented into the Delamore estate; a necessary cog that cannot leave. He hates the signing of papers, the discussing of plan and protocol; he wants to shape the world by his own hand, earn, not be given, his birthright. The predominant reason he does not pursue this path is two fold: First his love of his siblings; he worries incessantly and cannot bare the idea of them going through hardship without him being there and fears what would occur in his absence. The second is the Lady Leonora Renwick. His courtship of her was mostly by accident; she was a constant in his life, the rare girl his age neither his sister nor a visitor that he would in all likelihood never see again or one of those annoyingly spoiled girls brought to his attention. As the years passed, acquaintance turned to friendship, and something spurred that turned it to something more. Unfortunately for both, the task of running the estate is a tiring affair and results in she visiting he, much to his dismay. Quirks/Pet peeves: A fan of hunting, fighting and in general gentlemanly things, he eagerly goes out with the hounds when he finds a parasite living off the estate; fox or otherwise. He secretly enjoys sweets and tea. For the sheer hilarity of it, possibly a dandy. -------------------- ![]() When it comes to the denigration and enslavement of a minority race, no species can match the tenacity of man. |

Definitely still in for this one. Things are a little crazy in real life at the moment. Too many extracurricular activities, plus trying to do NaNoWriMo is proving to be very interesting. But I'll do what I can. (Truth be told, I can't really do anything with Bertholdus until they arrive anyway.)
